CAU/BR

CAU/BR, CEAU/BR e Fpress · 2025 · Branding

This project was part of a national competition, in partnership with Leonardo Lins.

Ten years after the creation of the brand for CAU/BR (Council of Architecture and Urbanism of Brazil), there was a need to develop not just one, but three cohesive and harmonious visual identities.

These identities apply to CAU/BR—as well as the state entities (CAU/UF), the Forum of Presidents of State and Federal District Architecture and Urbanism Councils (FPres), and the Collegiate of National Architecture and Urbanism Entities (CEAU-CAU/BR)—and will also be adopted by the Collegiates of State Architecture and Urbanism Entities (CEAU-CAU/UF).

The visual proposal sought to recall and pay tribute to the work of prominent Brazilian architecture and urbanism professionals. To this end, three elements were used to form the symbol—alongside the acronym and the full name—to identify architects and convey the function of each institution. CAU/BR: representation, architecture, urbanism, inclusion; FPres: coordination, link, connection; CEAU-CAU/BR: integration, dialogue, diversity, innovation. The professionals honored were Rosa Kliass, Oscar Niemeyer, and Paulo Mendes da Rocha.

Oscar Niemeyer (1976)

Rosa Kliass (1981)
